Fuzzy Logic

Michael Howarth

These photographs all come from an exhibition held in Brussels, entitled “Clarity in the Mist”.  The point of the title is that in the fuzziness of the deliberately blurred shot, there is clarity or truth.  This clarity or truth is similar to that which comes in our dreams – a fleeting glimpse of meaning.  This is also analogous to the way we read the texts of people like Robert Pinget or Jacques Derrida whose work I used to teach in another life.
