A series of photos inspired by the films of Wong Kar-Wai that aim to capture Thamel's buzzing atmosphere and essence beyond tourist (mis)perceptions and the faces of those who call this space "home".
Aïsha MacDougall is a British-Uzbek aspiring photographer based in Kathmandu, Nepal. She is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science and is currently pursuing a Masters degree at Leiden University, specialising in visual politics.
