My mission as the social media manager for LPB is to create an interactive platform for the LPB community while keeping alive a creative online space. Seeing young people like me having such drive and enthusiasm greatly inspires me. LPB’s transparency allows everyone to share their meaning of art in any form.
In terms of suggesting an under-appreciated piece of art, I’d like to point out at fashion. Fashion is art coming to life through a human body while communicating a designer’s story. My favourite artistic fashion moment took place at the annual Met Gala in 2012, in the “Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada: Impossible Conversations” exhibition.
An artist I admire is the Greek painter, Konstantin Kakanias. His depiction of his alter-ego, Mrs. Tependris and her theatrical couture outfits in combination with Kakanias’ signature painting is what I like the most. Oh de laval is another relatively new artist I also admire due to her painting style.
Currently, I am exploring outlets to serve my creative side. Fashion is the main outlet and I am focusing on making clothes or accessories like hats. Why buy something when you can make it from scratch?
With my Fashion Communications diploma, I am also studying Marketing Communications to bridge my creative skills with professional aspirations. Long story short, I don’t know where I am going, but I am getting there.
