What Can Happen When Two Strangers Bump Into Each Other; or (In)(Complete) Relationship Conversations

Day 1:
Oh, ‘scuse me: (didn’t see you there.)
No (, excuse me). After you.

Day 6:
(I’ve heard) the food is good (here).
           Everything is relative (you’ll see).

Day 9:
           That’s (not) what I meant.
           I know (what you mean).

Day 53:
Hello! Stating the obvious here (is never wise)!
How would I know if it is (or not)?
But we agreed to be monogamous.
           We talked (about it).

Day 55:
           You’re (too much) work.
           I’ll work (on) it.

Day 81:
Why (don’t you) wear the bright-blue tie?
           Why (bright)?

Day 163:
When people (don’t) show empathy, they usually don’t feel it.
So tell me what (should I feel)?

Day 234:
You (really) stink, you know that?
           Just keep your mask on.

Day 342, morning:
           We’re stuck.
           The rain will let up.

Day 342, afternoon:
           I (thought you) loved me.
           I (thought you) loved (me).

Year 4, Day 307:
           We need more diapers.
           We need (more) space.

Year 11, Day 2:
           We’re all you got.
           I (didn’t) say you weren’t.

Year 11, Day 3:
Why are you pushing (me away)?
           I’m not (trying).

Year 11, dawn on day 4:
When you came back, we had an agreement.
That’s not the same (as agreeing).

Year 11, day 12:
           That’s (not) what I meant.
           I know (what you (mean/did)).
           No, you (don’t) see (me).
Excuse me, I so do see you. (But are we having this conversation (again)?)
