A former PEN-CANADA writer in Residence at George Brown College, Mahdi Ganjavi (PhD/University of Toronto) is a Canadian-Iranian multilingual English-Persian poet, literary translator, historian of modern Persian literature and Encyclopedia Iranica author. Ganjavi's co-translations of lickos, a syllabic poetry of South East Iran has appeared in Modern Poetry in Translation, and also in Asymptote.
